Ganesh Chaturthi

Ganesh Chaturthi, also called Vinayaka Chaturthi or Vinayaka Chavithi, is observed at SLVS with a festive celebration spanning 9-10 days. This auspicious occasion honors Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles and the god of beginnings. The temple hosts elaborate rituals and ceremonies to invoke the blessings of Lord Ganesha. Devotees gather to offer prayers, perform special pujas, and partake in cultural events during the festivities. The celebration culminates with the immersion of Ganesha idols in water bodies, symbolizing the departure of the deity while carrying away devotees’ troubles and obstacles.
