Initially, the residents planned to construct a temple dedicated to Lord SitaRama and formed a committee called “Bhaktasamajam.” However, one of the committee members, Dr. C. AppaRao, had a recurring dream where Lord Sri Venkateshwara Swamy appeared, suggesting that they build a temple for him instead. So, they decided to build the Sri Laxmi Venkateshwara Swamy Temple.

At first, the residents managed the temple’s basic needs and facilities. However, due to financial constraints, they couldn’t sustain it for long. To ensure the temple’s smooth functioning, they affiliated it with SriKanchi Kamma Kotti Peetam, who then took care of the temple’s requirements.
